She studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg 1982-88. The meditative character of her work is inextricably linked to the process of their creation and the materials used. The artist works from the depths of the surface. Complex and colourful backgrounds, created earlier, are overpainted. Islands and points of lighter or darker colour are distributed across the surface and left largely untouched and uncovered. (Heinz Gappmayr)
